Is there something interesting here? http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/09 ... l-systems/

Maybe not addressing your point exactly - but the SVN client mentioned for windows - Tortoise SVN works fine - you just need to point at svn://opencats.org

Hi Russ,

Ok, I can grasp the concept of SVN, but to be honest, I have no real clue what it is, and why I would want to use it.

But I just thought I'd pass the smashingmagazine link, just in case :)

And on my braindump site, I posted another thing about Free / Open Source Software Project Web Hosts, since there was a post asking about that on the forum a few weeks back.

lol, ok, if you provide a few API's to candidates / activities and more ...

oh, and tell me how to plan recurring events in the calendar! e.g. "team meeting every Tuesday 09:00 - 09:05"

Hi

The SVN repo has two trunks - cats-0.9.1 and osats-1.01 - IMHO there should only be one and either osats merged into 'cats'/'opencats' and or osats branched.

most osats changes have to do with re-naming only and
- does does not stick with the current preferred name of opencats
- does not install
- should have all the renames as one revision (as they are minor and not critical but clog up svn diff compare)
- have the rest of useful changes as sep revs
- seems to be clogged up with wordpress files - these should be removed

currently I have to merge the osats revs into my cats 0.9.1 version = a pain

cheers
zartoop

PS I am not being rude to jamin and thank him for all the work - but I think we need to get this solid from the start as I am prepared to help with changes and commits too. Perhaps I have missed something obvious?

Well, as per my PM - the OpenCATS trunk is separate because the OpenCATS trunk is minor fixes/change improvements intended to make it a viable 'maintenance' version going forward. The osats is a work in progress on a new 'open' version - and as you've said by one developer - Jamin.. It's certainly not installable or usable!

I'm not entirely sure how/where to have the discussion on roadmaps and who does what and features etc - but am willing to take advice! For the moment - probably worthwhile using the dev mailing list as there are quite a few devs signed up to it.
